Sinopsis
Es el verano del 94 en el pequeño poblado de Siboney, en Cuba, durante la crisis migratoria con los Estados Unidos. Sugar (25) tiene solo 10 días para convencer al fiscal Fernando Montenegro (45) y a su abogada defensora Patricia Mejías (24) que ella no es culpable de asesinato. Para probar su inocencia Sugar cuenta la historia de las víctimas, su madre Elena y sus dos amantes Tomas y Emilio (nunca queda claro quién es su padre biológico). Su triángulo amoroso comenzó muchos años atrás cuando eran apenas adolescentes. Ambos hombres se enfrentaron por el amor de Elena durante décadas sin respeto el uno por el otro.
Synopsis:
It is the summer of 1994 in the small Cuban village of Siboney, during the migratory crisis with the United States. Sugar (25), has only ten days to convince both public prosecutor Fernando Montenegro (45) and her defense attorney Patricia Mejías (24) that she is not guilty of murder. To prove her innocence, Sugar tells the story of the victims: her mother Elena and her two lovers Tomas and Emilio (her biological father is never made clear). Their love triangle began many years ago, when they were barely teenagers. Both men ended up fighting for Elena’s love for several decades, with no respect for one another.
